A Digital Antenna Is A Great Alternative To Cable

If you’ve been searching for anything online lately I’m sure you’ve seen the hdtv digital antenna ads. They are all over the place and trying to get people to switch from their cable provider to free TV using a digital antenna. There are various types being marketed and finding reviews on those products such as theskylink hdtv antenna review can be risky so you will need to do your research or take a chance.

There are a number of features that are advertised with hdtv antennas. We’re going to cover a few of them and you can decide for yourself if you want to consider investing in one.

Access Top Channels For Free

If you are aware of hdtv antennas being able to access many channels for free is their selling point. All of them work, some work better than others, but they all work to access free channels. With most antennas you can access HD television that will support 1080p. Depending on your area and where you live the number of channels you can access may be different for each person.

There are a lot of variables that come into play with the number of TV channels your antenna can pick up. It’s not always the antenna’s fault if you cannot pick up more than 30 channels and someone else can pick up more.

Discreet

The look of a digital antenna is very discreet unlike the old rabbit ears antennas. They sit on top of your TV and look weird. HDTV antennas can be hidden behind your television. It’s a thin black square that can be placed on your wall or on a stand. If you can get great reception with it behind your TV then it will be concealed well.

If you find better reception perhaps near the window or elsewhere then you will need to move it. It won’t be discreet anymore but you can possible cover it with a picture frame.

Save Money On Cable

The main idea behind any hdtv antenna is to cancel your cable TV subscription. The prices that cable providers charge is too expensive. They show the same movies and TV shows constantly. It’s not worth the money anymore to have cable TV.

With an hdtv antenna customers can save hundreds of dollars each year. An hdtv antenna is only a one-time cost. There are no monthly fees and you can enjoy basic TV with the same hdtv picture.

Residents Near Business Apartments In Evanston Deciding What To Do With Classic Mansion

More than 100 people gathered into the Parasol Room in Evanston‘s Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center last week to start coming up with new ideas ideas for what to do with the famous Harley Clarke mansion,a landmark that hasn’t been in use since 2005. The lakefront mansion, near short term rentals and other city landmarks, could possibly be transformed into a museum, education center or event space activists say. And after last year’s ballot initiative went through, the plans are becoming even more real by the day.

“We want to put this house into the hands of people like you. Make a difference,” said Art Norman, master of ceremonies for the event. Norman is a longtime anchor for Downtown Chicago’s NBC affiliate and is passionate about this project being done the right way.

Located near Northwestern University and furnished rentals, the mansion has been used for a variety of things over the years. At one point it was a private residence and believe it or not,it was once a frat house too.

Plans stalled over the last year or so as the city of Evanston struggled to come to a consensus on what to do,but the 2018 midterm elections that saw Democrats take back the house and a wave of progressive politicians into office proved to be just what the mansion needed. A non-binding referendum was passed during the election, with 80 percent of voters saying that it should be preserved, but with little taxpayer money.

“I never felt more a part of any community than when I heard the results of the referendum,” said Evanston resident Charles Smith. “I have imagined programs and activities going on in that building. I thought they were the greatest thing that could happen,” Smith said. “I’m anxious to hear what the motivation was that inspired so many people.”

Famous Cupcake Shop With Downtown Chicago Locations Opens Up New Naperville Shop Near Corporate Housing

If you’re a cupcake lover from Downtown Chicago,Iowa or New York City, there’s a pretty good chance that you’ve heard of Molly’s Cupcakes,a successful chain with several locations in Chicago neighborhoods like River North and The Loop. As the cupcake shop has continued to see massive success year after year, the owners have had their eye on new locations to potentially open up new shops in and it looks like they’ve found a new home: Naperville.

Nestled in between short term rentals and other restaurants,Mollys Cupcakes in Naperville opened earlier this month to much fanfare and excitement. They made 1,000 cupcakes for the occasion, and they unsurprisingly sold every single one of them on day one. A line stretched down the blog, filled with residents looking to get a first chance to try Molly’s famous cupcakes, and the shop sold out within 3 hours.

Owner James Jacobson is pretty excited about how well-received the new shop has been so far, especially on the very first day.

“It was just an immediate rush that came in and we handled it well, and then it was two-and-a-half hours of a rush. We could have tripled what we had that day. It was amazing and we’re super excited about it. We wish we had more cupcakes for people yesterday.”

At the new Naperville location,Molly’s owners plan to serve a rotating cast of 14 center-filled cupcakes with two seasonal flavors every single day. What are the seasonal flavors right now,you ask? Tiramisu and German chocolate! After the big opening day,Jacobson aimed to have a larger supply to match demand in the new location.

“I can’t promise we won’t sell out,but we did a lot more cupcakes than we did on our opening,” Jacobson said.

Mollys Cupcakes, which has been around for about 10 years now,was inspired by a teacher named Molly who bought cupcakes in for her class when someone had a birthday. Since then, the business has blossomed into a full on success. Their focus is on creating delicious cupcakes completely from scratch, and with each new store that opens, they like to add new features and flavors along the way. Customers love the center of the cupcakes and are particularly fond of the sprinkle station.

As Milwaukee Continues To Grow,Developers Eye More Furnished Apartments,Retail Space To Satisfy Demand For Temporary Housing

It doesn’t feel all that long ago that Milwaukee,Wisconsin and the rest of the country was coming out of the worst financial crisis in a lifetime after the housing market and stock market crashed in 2008. But by 2010,as the rest of the country was starting to bounce back,Milwaukee embarked on a historic comeback, marked by strong financial indicators and a building boom.

At one point in time,U.S. Bank had the tallest building in the area,at a whopping 42 stories. But in the last 10 years, more and more structures have popped up,including the $524M Fiserv Forum arena, the massive home of the Milwaukee Bucks.

With all of this building has come an increased demand for temporary housing and short term rentals,as more and more people are looking to work in the newly revitalized city. It’s a trend that has been occuring in other big cities across the United States as the economy has continued to improve, including in Downtown Chicago.

Rocky Marcoux, the commissioner of the Department of City Development, points to certain investment numbers to show just how much the boom is helping Milwaukee, especially in District #21. The district includes the the booming downtown city center and has seen about $5B in development since 2005 alone – and that’s just one district in the city. In less than 20 years, experts expect that number to rise to $7.7 in additional development in the city center. This could include retail spaces, restaurants and corporate housing.

Marcoux points to housing numbers as well to demonstrate just how much development has increased in the same period. About 11,000 housing units have been built in downtown Milwaukee, and another 8,000 have been constructed in nearby neighborhoods.

“Once you factor in that in the past 15 years, give or take,we had the greatest recession since the Great Depression, and there was really no measurable activity during that time, that makes the numbers even more impressive,” he said.

Often times, any restrictions or penalties will be noted on the no parking sign. For instance, there may certain hours of the day in which parking in that area would be permissible. Paying close attention to what each sign indicates can save you money and aggravation.

Permit signs are also used to regulate lots at businesses. These could limit parking to the customers of a certain business. In some cases, these permit signs can be enforceable under city laws, but not always. Often times, failing to follow signs at business will not result in legal action.
